Incorporated in 1892, Essex Junction is a village located within the town of Essex, Vermont in the heart of Chittenden County. Vermont’s busiest Amtrak station and biggest private employer, GlobalFoundries are both located in Essex Junction. The village is home to many restaurants and boutique shops in the center of its famous 5-corner intersection. Essex Junction is also home to Vermont’s biggest fair, the Champlain Valley Fair. Residents in Essex Junction enjoy the suburban atmosphere with plenty to do and the short distance to Burlington and Williston.
