Tucked away in the rolling hills of Franklin County is the rural town and birthplace of President Chester A. Arthur, Fairfield, VT. The small town has a lot of farmland and even more heart. Dairy farms and sugarhouses are plentiful in Fairfield, as are the breathtaking views. Included in the town of Fairfield are the communities of East Fairfield, Fairfield Station, and Saint Rocks. In the center of town is the post office, K-8 school, and the town clerk’s office as well as a market and a unique eatery; the only one in town. Fairfield is conveniently located close to Saint Albans for those who reside to still have access to a larger community and all that it offers.
