Lunenburg
Along the Connecticut River on the New Hampshire border, Lunenburg is the most populous town in the rural Essex County, Vermont, and is part of the “Northeast Kingdom” region. Known for its endless views of rolling hills and open land, Lunenburg is also home to the historic Mount Orne Covered Bridge that connects to Lancaster, NH. The scenery in Lunenburg is astounding, often believed to have inspired Robert Frost’s famous poem, The Mountain, which takes place in a town of the same name.
