Pownal

In the center of the Taconic and Green Mountains, the town of Pownal is located in Bennington County, Vermont. In the southwesternmost part of Vermont, Pownal borders both Massachusetts, and New York. Among the hills of the town, Pownal is home to the famous Long Trail and the villages of Pownal, North Pownal, and Pownal Center. In what was once the Green Mountain Race Track, the town hosts several events throughout the year.
