One of Vermont’s most charming towns, Johnson is located in Lamoille County. Carved into the Green Mountains, Johnson is in the valley of the Lamoille River. The Gihon River flows through the remarkably scenic town. Johnson is home to Northern Vermont University-Johnson (formerly known as Johnson State College) which contributes to the unique character of the town. The town is close by to Jeffersonville, a village of Cambridge, which is home to Smugglers Notch Resort, a popular ski resort that offers year-round activities.
